This is the first time in the world that digital scanning and 3D reconstruction tech has been used in the digital realm. The project comprehensively used high-definition digital scanning, game engine physical rendering, global dynamic lighting and other game techs to restore the Chinese Dunhuang Grottoes in millimeter-level high-definition. It has prime significance in gaming technology application and digital cultural relics.

The Dunhuang Sutra Caves are one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century and are known as the "key to unlocking the history of the medieval world." And the "Digital Sutra Cave" model has a resolution of up to 4k and adopts a modern Chinese art style. The design team has set up many interactive points, allowing the public to freely view the scriptures from different historical periods such as the Late Tang Dynasty, Northern Song Dynasty, and the late Qing Dynasty. The public can personally participate in the profound history of the Mogao Sutra Caves. Through witnessing key historical scenes and the historical changes, visitors can intuitively understand the value and charm of Chinese Dunhuang culture and art.
